Can I bring in outside catering? 

All catering services are provided by Canvas Restaurant. We do not allow any 3rd party caterers to deliver food to Lakehouse.

What is your alcohol policy?

Due to liability restrictions and liquor license regulations, alcohol cannot be brought into the Lakehouse unless provided by Canvas Restaurant.

Can we cook our own food at the building or bring food from home?

We do not allow cooking in the building however, if you are a Laureate Park resident, we do allow you to bring food from home. We do not allow any heating devices such as sternos to be used. Please be aware that Lakehouse does not provide plates, napkins, flatware, glassware, ice, or wait staff.

Are we able to have both the ceremony and reception at Lakehouse?

Yes, we do have options for ceremony space that would be available at an additional fee. We have the Lakehouse Patio as well as The Garden.

How much time should I book the venue for?

Our minimum rental time is 4 hours however, depending on the type of event we recommend renting the space for 6-9 hours.

What is included with the rental fee?

We are happy to include all of our tables and chairs, 2 podiums, 2 wireless microphones, 2 screens and 2 projectors, sound system, and use of the bridal suite.

What are my decor options?

We have plenty of creative partners who can help bring your vision to life and will be happy to make recommendations! 

Can we hang decor from the ceiling?

With prior approval, yes we can allow items to hung from the ceiling. We will need to know exactly what the decor is, the weight of each piece, and how many you plan to hang. Anything that is hung from the ceiling must be installed by a licensed and insured professional, we do not allow you to hang items yourself. 

Can we come in early to decorate?

You are allowed to access Lakehouse when your time block starts, so if you know you will need time to decorate, make sure you include that time in whatever time block you choose. When your rental time begins, we will have all of your tables and chairs set so the room will be ready for you or your vendors to decorate at that time. 

Do you allow candles?

Yes, as long as they are in containers that are taller than the candle to catch the wax and so the flames are not exposed.

Do you allow animals?

With the exception of service animals, we do not allow animals in Lakehouse.

Do you allow sparklers or grand exits?

Yes we do allow sparklers outside of the building as long as it approved in advance and they are properly disposed of. Bubbles are allowed as long as they are used outside only. We do not allow confetti, rice, fake flower petals, hay, or glitter. Improper use of any of these items may result in the loss of your security deposit. 

Can I come and take a tour?

Absolutely! Please call or email us to make your appointment. 

How do I book my event?

Once you are ready to confirm your date, our staff will send you a formal contract outlining all of the details. Your date will not be confirmed until the signed contract and rental fee are received.

How can I make my payments?

Payments are accepted by check only and can be made out to LP Lakehouse, LLC.

What is your cancellation policy?

The rental fee is non refundable in all cases. Once you are booked there is no refund of money upon cancellation or rescheduling. If you would like to move your event, we can transfer your rental fee to another date within 12 months of your original date.
